Writer's Guidelines Publishers of Treasure Valley Family Magazine, Treasure Valley Family Resources (an annual directory-December), and Treasure Valley Baby (annual edition--June)
Treasure Valley Family Magazine is a free, parenting and family magazine with an audited monthly circulation of over 20,000 and a readership of nearly 42,000. Our circulation in Boise, Meridian, Eagle and Nampa Idaho and outlying communities includes over 500 distribution sites. The Magazine premiered in October 1993. FM&M. is a member of Parenting Publications of America (www.parentingpublications.org).
Our editorial content is focused toward parents with children ages 12 and younger. We look for pieces covering education, parental involvement, family fun, issues concerning local parents, informative reporting, crafts, family excursions, and health.
We are a magazine format. Columns range from 700-900 words; feature pieces 1000-1300 words. Writers are advised to send a query letter with sample clippings if possible. Please include a response card or letter with your submission. If you'd like your submission returned, please enclose a SASE.

We reserve the right to edit for clarity, length and style. For questions on style, please refer to the Associated Press Stylebook.
Fees vary upon length, depth of piece and whether it's an original manuscript, assigned, or a reprint. Writers are paid upon publication, by the 15th of the month. Acceptance of a piece is neither a guarantee of publication or publication by a particular date.
FM&M purchases first North American serial rights for original manuscripts. In purchasing or assigning a story, we understand we will receive market exclusivity. We follow the National Writers Union recommendation to compensate writers an additional 10 percent for electronic rights when the piece is placed on our website, www.treasurevalleyfamily.com.
